No, San Jose isn’t paying the 33rd pick for a small LD that they already have 5 of in their roster. Just stop with these trades my goodness

IMO Necas would cost at least MTL 2025 1st+, maybe with some kind of protection.

Why would Anaheim want to buy a lame duck #3C with a $4.45 million cap hit coming off an injury-interrupted year?

Hey! Not going to comment on the trades. I would just be concerned with Justin Barron, as he will not be waiver exempt in 24/25 (meaning, it's NHL or he'll be claimed). It may be better to trade him if he's not making the main roster. AND THAT'S OKAY, as the defence is deep, ignoring what other non-Canadien fans say. They'll just need to receive a quality return.

Loosing waivers and an inability to push onto not the strongest D core, the return is going to be modest, maybe a mid round pick.
