Description

The Premise:
Capitals trade for Marner’s final year. Gets 1 year with Ovechkin. The Maple Leafs get a true top 4 defenseman, picks for 2025 (which they have next to none of), and importantly, cap space. Then the Capitals sign and trade Marner in the 2025 offseason

I agree to Washington is the most logical destination for Marner, he helps Ovi get to 895 next season and they flip him…imagine it’s by the TdL? Not sure he goes to Detroit after though and I mean they could just let him walk at the price.
