Unless Barron and Harris are meant to be almost permanently stapled to the Chicago Wolves, I don’t see why the Canes make that trade. I mean, the best they could hope for is to be on the Canes 3rd pair, and the Canes have in house options that are as good if not better.

I think you could get dubois cheap for like 1 cheaper/cost-effective roster piece and a pick. If you incentivize the kings to save money on the cap hit then I think itll go a long way towards a deal. They dont get any cheaper in this deal, but lose the high ceiling dubois presents even if he is risky in the short-medium term
