I know from our prior discussion that you're wedded to the Reilly-for-Anderson aspect of this trade, but I think that this construction strongly supports my contention that it is a bad idea. A really, really, really, really bad idea, for the Kings. The $3.375 million difference in their cap hits results in using Stenlund at #3C, Stolarz as the starting goalie and Driedger as the backup goalie. But let's ignore those on-ice ramifications, as negative as they are. Just the difference between what you've given Fa-gem-o here and his actual Qualifying Offer puts you over the cap. Then there's the issue of your being really short on Turcotte's Q.O. and the fact that you're running a 22-man roster. That alone precludes substituting the more expensive LD for our future captain. And all this to shoehorn one season, and one season only, of Mitch Marner into this team, thereby making Kevin Fiala essentially an also-ran. No, thanks.
