Description

If Leafs fans want Marner gone. Then I personally try and get something like Dunn/McCann combination. The fact Marner can walk after next season almost makes it a rental, where as McCann/Dunn have term if they'd waive their NMC. Then try to fill in around them.

Well it really doesn't matter if Leaf fans want Marner "gone", I doubt Marner would ever waive to team that doesn't have a superior centre in his contract year.
I really don't see what's in the trade for Seattle. Six years of control for two good to very good players.

While the difference in term would be a benefit for Toronto, it’d make the deal bad for Seattle. As well, our play pretty much fell apart when Dunn got injured, and we aren’t going to want to move McCann, who based on comments he’s made probably has Toronto on his NTC. Also I doubt a gm could really survive the media/fan reaction if they sent out a first round pick alongside one of the core four players
