Description

This would be wild. I think the Panthers know they won't be able to keep both Montour/Ekblad long-term, and they go with Montour. Now 1) we don't know where Ekblad has on his no-trade list, and 2) this is not to say Calgary would go for this trade - I don't think they do - but this is what I think a return for Ekblad would get.

Reinhart gets talked down, but not by much, at least that's what I think will happen.

(it's also 4:00 am for me so these might just seem super ridiculous because I'm delirious.)

One year of Ekblad isn't worth two of Andersson, especially with his injury history.

Even if CBJ can move on from Elvis, I think Tarasov-Greaves is looking like the long-term 1A/1B.

Greaves is waivers-exempt for one more year, so I’d rather find a stop-gap veteran than give up for Knight.

Plus, CBJ likely won’t have their ‘25 2nd.

I think you’d see an offer sheet in that situation. Hell, I’d pull a Carolina and see if I can get him on a one-year deal in the $2M range. It’d be more than he’d make overseas, at least.
