Macelli and Guenther are in your top 6 and get schmaultz out of the middle. Byfield age abilities exactly what is needed, will be interesting who they target with the capital and assets they have.

The Jets aren't giving Ehlers away for nothing.

You'd likely have to dangle that 6th overall pick to get Ehlers.

Ehlers isn't even worth a 1st rd let alone a top ten pick.

He didn't even do anything in the jets avs series.

Avs just ran the jets over.

Then they won't end up moving him I imagine. Most likely extension July 1st since he likes it in Winnipeg. That narrative no one wants to play here is changing. Namestinov extended, then Scheif and Helly. Nino. Both Dylon Demelo and Brendan Dillon have voiced they want to re-up this off season. Monohan is open to the idea as well. No reason why they wouldnt't run most of the crew back and take another run with Ehlers.

Lol. Yeah let's run the same team after getting wrecked 4 straight games.

I'm curious to know what you'd change to make the Jets better next year. Who would you let go / trade away? What roles would you bring in?

Personally, I would try to sign DeMelo as the first priority, maybe Monahan too. I'd Bring Lambert up to play 2RW, shift Fetts over to 2LW, and trade Ehlers for a 2RD.

If the Jets can't get a 2RD for Ehlers, then I'd just keep him tbh. All the other positions can't really be improved and it wouldn't be worth shipping Ehlers for scraps.

Idk I'm not a jets fam but what I do know is you don't keep running the same team expecting to do deep.

Look at the avs since 2017. They literally have there core and switch up players every offseason. To be honest they should've won a cup in 2021 but they choked hard against the jets

I'd reup all of Demelo, Dillon and Monohan. Heinola or Salomonsson are close to ready for top four action. Having our 2C locked down for the year between a couple young wingers Perfetti plus Lamber/Chibrikov is more ideal then Lambert taking on 2C first year.

If we only got futures back then you can afford to chase a big upgrade come trade deadline on the back end if needed. Get one of Heinola or Solo some big minutes this year and they can take a step back like perfetti come play offs and be better for the year after.
