Literally zero reason for Anaheim to do this unless Montreal wins the lottery

Anaheim 1st > Montreal 1st (barring a lottery win)

Wait, so where are each teams picks here? Cause if MTL are anything but 1, ANA declines, but if MTL are at 1, MTL declines

From the comment he made on this post, I believe that this is in a situation where MTL ends up drafting higher than ANA. Imo, ANA still declines unless its 1st oa MTL gets, but If MTL get that 1st oa, there is now way we do that

Let's suppose Montreal wins lotto, which is the only way this would make some sense... I still don't think Anaheim does this as per they're not in dire need of centers
