It is pretty much the only scenario I could stomach trading Dobson. It’s definitely a gamble on Spurgeon. Need to fill the RD hope we would be creating. An extra year on the cap compared to Lee too

Yeah there’s no shot for that lol. This works under the idea Kaprizov wouldn’t want to extend in MIN. Dobson being an RFA you’ll continue control/extend long term. He and Faber down the right would be the best in the league. I think freeing up the cap space here in the example is huge too. The forward group still looks good even without him.

Could sign Elias Lindholm instead if Rossi is traded for a winger? There are a lot of options that get opened up
