Didn't want to do the same old copy and paste Oilers AGM so tried to look for some interesting ideas that were similar to the Ekholm deal from a few years ago i.e. a good top 4 dman with term and affordable

The Avs deal is what came out lol, I think with little tweeks could happen, that being said there are some things I would see happen to change the deal like taking the 2nd rounder out and replacing it with a 1st. DO NOT READ TO MUCH INTO THE RETENTION, after this trade and all 3 of the AVS major 4 signings they will have around 4.5-6M in cap space depending on how much they signed for so they are able to retain a small amount to keep both contracts the same amount at 4M.
