There’s no way we get that pick. It would either be Laughton for Boston 2024 1st or Laughton and FLA 1st for Ottawa 2025 1st. That top 10 pick is way too valuable for a player like Laughton.

Ottawa fans that only look at points and live on this site like it pays them to be on here will tell you Laughton is an AHL player cause that’s what everyone on here has told them to think but he will fetch a late 1st early 2nd at best. If we throw in a 3rd it probably guarantees a late 1st.

Scott Laughton does make fill the difference between 12th and 7th overall and it’s not even particularly close

Value between 12 and 7 is roughly a high 2nd round pick. I think he could get that to a team that needs a versatile 3C/LW leader.

Cmon we both know Konency with 1 year left on his deal isn't getting #7 even with an extension where we have to pay him 8.5M$. I don't even think Marner would get that pick and he's a much better player.
