No reason for the Canucks to be giving up a 1st there

I have to agree with the VAN fans here. Fabbro and Sissons are probably each worth a 2nd/2nd+ individually, but that doesn't necessarily equal a 1st in a trade. Maybe get those 2nds from VAN, and try to package them to move up at the draft?

I'd definitely target Casey in a Saros to NJ trade. I'm not as enamoured with Holtz though.

Bennett is an interesting addition. I'd never thought about him as a Pred before.

I think I'd rather extend Lankinen for another year or two, than do the Jarry trade.

Seen Petey miss the empty net several times this season.
Sissons is a very reliable RH 3C which the Canucks will need when they don't resign Lindholm. He plays both on the PP and PK.
Fabbro is decent RHD who has been paired with Josi at times this season. He can play in any defensive pairing.
ANY draft pick especially a late one is just a crap shoot, and I would rather give up PDG than Aman.

VAN trade: I initially just did Aman + 2nd for Fabbro, but then when I did the FLA trade I felt that Sissons could be moved. So I added him + 3rd to try and bump the pick to a 1st. But he could be traded for a 2nd or equivalent probably.

PIT trade: I targeted Jarry as someone who can be effective at hopefully a cheap acquisition cost. I just think PIT has a bad defense. He could be a good tandem guy for Askarov. Year 1 - 60/20 split, year 2 - 50/30, year 3, 40/40, year 4, 30/50. Gives Askarov some time to develop. Can speed up the transition to Askarov depending on how he plays.

FLA trade: I feel like they will need to drop a contract or two this summer, so Bennet may be made available. Seems like an upgrade on Sissons at a slightly younger age.

Pens decline. They aren't giving you Jarry for nothing.

What would you say his value is at currently? I’ve seen a lot of Pens fans that want him gone and aren’t asking a lot in return— so I just went with something like that. If the price is too high though, I’d probably just look elsewhere.

I think the ask would be a young defenseman with size.

I like this for the Habs and the value is fair. Deal.
