NYR
  1. Marner, Mitchell

Laviolette did wonders for Lafreniere with his rush-based attacking system, he could do the same for Marner who hasn’t played at his best since 2018/19
TOR
  1. Goodrow, Barclay
  2. Trouba, Jacob
Additional Details:
Move Trouba to create room for Schneider’s extension, he is Trouba’s heir

Goodrow would be beloved in TOR and NYR gets rid of a bad contract

That’s fine, but I think both players Treliving would love.

Marner has gotten better every year. His defensive load has also increased. Would definitely be a project to find a way to get him to convert off the rush in the playoffs. He is great at it in the regular season.

IDK, I feel like Marner rarely gets rush chances the past couple of years, mostly it is offence off the cycle. Which he does well in the regular season but not so much in the playoffs cuz of increased physicality.

Lopsided for NYR. Need a 1st and decent prospect or player. Doesn’t make sense due to NYR cap crunch through 2025-26.

We're not a rush based team. We have a great system, with smart defensive legs and our core vets are all about chemistry from years of practice together. It all comes together because we have heavy dudes that scare teams & pump ours

You’re probably overconfident cuz you swept a non-playoff team in the first round that any team could beat. Getting swept by Carolin in round 2.

Rightfully confident, all season long, with zero quit and mastered chemistry. Look out Freddy Andersen! NYR in 5

I don’t see it, I think when you face Carolina/Florida/Boston you’re toast.

Old narrative, tables have turned. With Lavis relentless system, our major depth, size, chemistry & effort have been super steady and frustrating teams all year. Now Igor is back to being Igor
