Description

No secret that the jets need a legit top 4 rhd. Nyi are in a similar position with needing a top 6 forward that can create more offense. This concept has floated around before but wanted to bring it back up as with the nyi on brink of being swept change should be coming and this seems like something that could benefit both teams.

Challenges to the trade:
Ehlers has a 10 team no trade list
Pulock has a ntc (but is from Manitoba so he may waive)

What would need to be included:
Obviously the term is different with ehlers an upcoming ufa and pulock with 6 more years so an extension would need to be in place. Would there need to any more involved to make a trade happen. Jets most likely don't need a replacement top 6 player with lambert looking more ready than ever. Would NYI need a rhd coming back as a roster replacement? Pionk is an option there but again more trade protection complicates the trade and what else to make a fair trade.

Conclusion:
Based on what both teams need it seems like a possibility but what do you guys think and what would a deal look like, extension for ehlers and other aspects to a deal. Thanks

How would an Ehlers Hronek swap work? I imagine VAN would look for more assets in the trade but what would Winnipeg think?

I'd be okay with it but with how much hronek is reported to have declined from Vancouver it may not be a perfect fit for either team. Jets need basically a better demelo that has size and great defensive attributes. Hronek seems more offensive and softer in comparison to a Pulock. Pulock is also signed long term and from Manitoba. Vancouver would most likely need a rhd back like pionk and then the deal is so complicated with ntc and players that even if you find a trade both teams accept, the players could have a team on a ntc.

This deal makes a lot of sense for both sides in my opinion, would be cool to see Pulock in WPG.

Pageau is a negative asset, Norris is good just a little overpaid.

Id also do Chychrun + 25th overall

Nyi don't need lhd with pelech romanov and bolduc. Chychrun is also about to be a ufa so pulock for 6 years >>>>>>>> 1 year of Chychrun and a late first buddy

Norris had 30pts in 50 games, get educated buddy. He also played most of his games with the worst forward in the league Kubalik

He can block a trade buddy makes more sense to be traded to Winnipeg as he's from Manitoba. Fact is you could do 10 first he can decline the trade. Probably best to move on to other options that make sense

8m for 30 points with the injuries he's had you can't keep your head in the sand forever. 2 major injuries at that cap is just not movable

stop saying 30pts. He was on pace for 50pts/82 games while being injured. Hes a 65-70pt 200ft player when healthy.

He's had major injuries since 2019 that's 5 years and never hit more than 65 points with the tern he has he doesn't have as much value as you think like I wouldn't give up Nino for him 1 for 1 for reference

Norris’s shoulder is softer than semi melted butter, y’all screwed yourself on that contract. He will never be a playoff star because he’ll never make it past the 1st round with how physical the game gets.
