Ain’t no way Rempe only won 1 fight

Fight wins and losses are pretty much opinion based, so considering Rempe is hated league wise I guess it makes sense lol

Rempe is disliked because he jumps guys, cheap shots 'em in the head, talks s**t and backs away from fights.

He is not good at hockey, nor a very good fighter. He is just big...and desperate for attention.

Lmao besides elbowing Seigs, you can’t name another time he’s cheap shotted…..he did his time and learned his lesson

Lmao “backs away from fights” when he has accepted every heavyweight fight since his debut. I don’t know where you moron fans come up with this nonsense. He’s not afraid to fight anyone and he has shown it

He may not be good at hockey, but he’s better than the current enforcers like Reaves and Macdermid

Lmao I’m sorry you don’t like when contact happens in a contact sport…..maybe they should ban hits to make you happy?

He has played 5 minutes in 3 games vs NJD, racked up 47 penalty minutes and was tossed from each one. He served one longer suspension for a head shot on Siegenthaler, but deserved an equal one for his flying elbow to Bastian’s head (while he was on his knees).

He is hated because he takes dirty, cheap shots at peoples head, and when called to answer, he backs off….(like when he did his little waive to Devils bench).

Most heavyweights are disliked, but somewhat respected. Rempe has zero respect from other players.

The hit on Bastian was clean….it’s the same hit Trouba did to Meier and Nosek lmao. Shouldn’t be blaming the hitter when the guy with the puck has his head down. I guess Panarin is now dirty because he hit Oshie with his head down?

Lmao again, he isn’t scared of anyone. He would have fought Macdermid after the elbow but the refs weren’t allowing it. He stood there while Macdermid tried to go after him. He didn’t “back away” from a fight like devil fans make up in their mind

Lmao no respect? Every player’s interview about Rempe have said they respected him. Even your boy Macdermid took back what he said and gained a bit of respect

He was served a match penalty for that hit.

“It’s a man’s game” lol. If you want to try and sound tough, be my guest, but even the strawman thinks he is dirty.

Yea and we all know how inconsistent NHL Refs and DoPS are with that stuff….

Lmao it’s just hilarious coming from a fan who rooted for Scott Steven’s and save the “it was a different era” bull****

Why do Ranger fans keep bringing Scott Stevens up? He was one of the best all around dmen to ever play and was first ballot hall-of-gamer. He played 1,600+ games over 22 seasons. He was never once suspended for a hit.

Matt Rempe has played 17 games in his career and is only known because he has completed about half of them. Find some AHL goon to compare him to.

Again he threw a lot of questionable hits and I’m fine with it lmao but if he was in today’s league he would 100% be suspended and you fans would be defending him

I’m sorry you’re not a fan of contact in a contact sports. Maybe they should ban hits for you as well? So your pretty boy, skill-only team can not worry about being touched and injured

Stevens is not playing in today’s league. Even he himself has said many of his hits would be called today. He played tough, but was not dirty. He was considered twice for DOPS job.

This is a post about fighting. I have no problem with physical elements of the game.

But taking cheap shots on unsuspecting players heads, with intent to injure, is not sport.

He literally has taken 1 cheap shot all year and that was the elbow to Seigs…..

You don’t have to like him lmao but all of his hits have been a combination of him being freakishly big and guys having their head down. I don’t know if you know this but hockey is played at full speed

He has 0 intent to injure. Maybe get to know the kid before you make judgements. You can pretty much find a dirty hit made by every player in the league lol

I guess Scheifele is dirty because of his hit on Evans or Makar is dirty because of his hit on McCann or Miles Wood is dirty because of his hit on Namestnikov

Yet, he has the most positive impact on a game and our team. His presence scares the wits out of opponents, as you've witnessed multiple times now. Obviously it sucks for a nemesis to be dropping you're team like flies, but to truth is, he's a fast & good 4th liner. Enjoy!

Another CLEAN hit by Rempe last night and he gets a penalty lmao the refs and league are a joke because he’s being targeted for being too big

You know it’s a problem when the GOAT is on air saying it’s a clean hit too…..

"only" would make sense if he had more than 100 minutes total.

1 blatantly dirty hit, 3-5 more questionable ones in 100 minutes. (We'll ignore all his suspensions in his pre NHL career for other dirty hits)

For example Tom Wilson has played 11000 minutes. At Rempe's pace that would be 110 blatant suspension worthy hits, and 400 questionable hits.

Penalties literally don’t mean anything when you’re being targeted by the refs now lmao

Two hits this series against the caps that most definitely weren’t penalties, but the refs love to control the game so they call it anyway
