I am on board with this. Don't really know that this trade would do it for the Rangers though.

Not sure if it would either but any more than this and you would be better off trying for an offer sheet

The end result is pretty nice, but the values are kinda all over, which means it's not super feasible. As they stand, the Buffalo trade easily has the best shot at coming true.

That’s an overpayment for Lindgren, but he’s a glue guy to the Rangers so I am not sure if they would move him unless his contract ask is absurd

I never know what to believe. I've read that Lindgren is the best defensive dman (yes, better than Fox) on the Rangers, and their defense falls apart when he's not in the lineup. Is he just not that good?

When Lindgren is on his game, he’s easily their 2nd best defensive defenseman behind Fox. But this year he took a step back whether it was from injuries or a new system

He’s just a glue guy. He plays big minutes, he’s tough, he brings some grit and snarl, and his chemistry with Fox is unmatched. So when he’s out, the defense is out of sync

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Is Fox successful with anyone else? Fox is a top 5 dman imo, so I would expect he can play with anyone.

He can pretty much play with anyone, but he probably plays his best with Lindgren. They’ve been playing together since their NTDP days, so they read off each other so well

Lindgren isn't going anywhere. Drury will sign him to a multi-year deal.

This is an offer that NYR would accept for Lindgren. Good deal.
