I think this will help both teams redwings get a the goalie that they need panthers are not using him anyway and having to pay a BURIED PENALTY anyway Panthers get draft picks to help them get players and and extra 4 millon dollar to spend. i think it helps both teams give me your thoughts

Detroit has two goalies and although adding a third isn't an awful idea, one at his cap hit is too much. We have our own cap issues we need to deal with and adding 4.5M more doesn't help that.

If Detroit makes this deal, why wouldn't they give Florida Cossa instead of, say, the 2nd?

... Probably because Cossa is worth way more than the 2nd.
