Devils 2nd rounder next year is already a part of the Jake Allen deal as a conditional pick. If anything, I'd be THRILLED to just beat that deal you have for Gus and get him over Jarry.

Strong possibility the Wild just keep Gus and roll with Flower/Gus for another year. They don't seem to be in any hurry to move on to Wallstedt, so giving him another year in Iowa while calling him up a few times isn't the worst idea ever for a team that isn't contending next year.
