Description

I know NJ still has about 19 games left in the regular season, but is it safe to say this is the biggest off season of the Jack Hughes/Nico Hischier era? After Fitzgerald addressed the goaltending situation ( about 3-4 weeks to late ) for the rest of this season, is this the summer we get a #1 goalie? In my opinion NJ should go after 1 of these 3 goalies I'll put in trades.

You have to think if NJ stays in the same draft spot they are atm ( pick #9 ) they can possibly add another young solid player, grab a #1 goalie and sign a good free agent. Let me know what you guys think of these moves I'm gonna make down below.

NJ finishes with the 9th pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. They get lucky and have defenseman Sam DIckinson drop into their lap.

With Mercer not having the greatest season ( I know it's not over yet ) NJ takes a little bit of a risk, kind of like the Jack Hughes contract and lock him up for 8 years.

What makes you think that Calgary even remotely considers that?

Dickinson would be great, but agree with Shaners…he is probably gone by our turn.

Calgary front office is a mess…not sure Fitzy is dealing with that dumpster fire.
