I agree that CGY is getting the better player in this deal, but there are a few holdups:

1) Moving CGY's highest draft pick (Bennett, #4) ever
2) Moving another 1st rounder (CGY ain't got any left)
3) Sending Bennett, who arguably has lots of upside left, to a team in the West could be tough (MIN fans will say the exact same thing about moving Niedereitter -- they don't want to play against him!)
4) That 3C role becomes a sizable hole (CGY can't be sure that Lazar is ready for that role, or Jankowski).

CGY's Top 6 becomes ridiculously strong with this move. Depth lines get weaker.

I the Wild could sign Nino for that small of a contract they would in an instant. Your gonnna have to give him at least 5 year x $5 mil contract.

It would really come down to Nino's contract for Minny to make this trade.

The trade is probably fair at face value, but at $4.5mx5 the Wild would be dumb to trade Nino. If he was looking for a $6mx6 deal the Wild should take the trade, but it wouldn't work for the Flames cap.
