Take out bahl, maybe replaced with a lower level prospect at a different position. NJD can't be subtracting dman without adding upgrades

Pittsburgh isn’t trading Guentzel to Boston.

The focus should be using the picks from NJD to get Hanifin

Let’s not. Not giving up all that for a pure rental.

Take out Bahl, maybe NJ says yes.

Don’t like the Pens move at all. No more rentals, we simply can’t afford to. If B’s are giving up their limited resources it has to be for long term assets.

Flames decline.

as a general rule i wouldn't trade for a guy that has strictly played with sidney crosby. their numbers and value are going to be majorly inflated.

A. you didn't give up a lot, surely not enough to get Jake.
B. Nothing there has any great value. Debrusk is a rental does nothing for the penguins, if anything it's cap the penguins have to take back for it to work for BOS.
A 3rd round prospect who is meh....and a late round first that has like a 30% chance of turning into a mediocre NHLer.
Yet your acting like you "gave" something up here. The only thing this trade gives up is your chance of ever seeing Guentzel play for BOS because that return won't get it done.

That doesn’t get you Hanifin. Rather do a 3-way Trade with Ullmark going to NJD, Hanifin to BOS and NJD’s 2024 1st + 3rd + Bahl going to CGY and I’m still hoping to get a better package for Hanifin then that

They also gave up Ullmark to make room and and get pieces for the trade. Try looking at the big picture. 👍🏻

2 months of Guentzel does absolutely nothing for this team.

1. 2 months of Guentzel does a whole lot for a team heading to the playoffs.
2. I don't care what the other moves are. You don't pay the rest of the league to get a player from a team, you pay the team. That offer is pure junk.

1 not interested in this years playoffs, interested in the long term health of the team.

2 cool but F off, because this was about the Bruins side of it.

Jake DeBrusk, a first, Trevor Kuntar, a 3rd, and a 4th is pure junk?

I wouldn’t want to do it if I were Boston. I have my doubts that Hanifin makes free agency. I’m pretty comfortable that Guentzel does. I’m not giving up future assets for someone who would probably not be in my top 3 options in FA that probably limits what I can do with other positions

what good is rental DeBrusk to a non playoff team. It's a nothing, if anything it's a team taking back cap for you to make it work. That adds no value to a trade.
A late round 1st does not hold the value you think.
Kuntar is nothing special and the 3rd and 4th round picks are very low chances to develop into anything.
You want a 40 goal scorer for basically nothing. Your offer is pure garbage.
Try a 1st, an A+ prospect to start.

A first and A+ prospect is a joke instead of a start. Sorry. If that’s your expectation, you are not paying attention to the history of these trades

If Calgary can’t convince a home state player to stay, that seems like an issue. Isn’t Calgary actually contending for a playoff spot?

no one is talking about Calgary maybe learn to read.
And the 1st and A+ prospect is widely known as the starting point.

Cutter Gauthier was traded, but no one will trade an A prospect for a pending FA. Trying to recall the last time two first rounders were traded for a pending free agent in Hanifin’s class of player

Ahh Cutter. Forgot about that.

Wouldn't call him an A+ prospect personally.

Also had demanded a trade lol

using it to compare to a rental is wild work.

I thought he was gonna say Bruz as an A+ prospect which would have made me die of laughter

Please show me the comparable where two first round caliber players were traded for a player in Hanifin’s range (a one time all star more than 5 years ago) whose contract runs out by year end without taking a camp dump?

Just because you say something doesn’t make it true.

Transposed this with another discussion. Sorry about that. Either way, DeBrusk would likely be someone you can flip to another team fairly easily. Should just be presented as a three way deal.

Doesn’t matter anyway, because Pittsburgh doesn’t likely trade Guentzel to Boston. I do believe he could come to Boston as a free agent if others sign first

An act of god does nothing for the Penguins. Outside of finding a star in the draft, your team sucks despite the presence of Crosby. That’s hard to do.

Sorry I transposed a conversation, but you can lighten up. Your frustration is understandable. If I watched that team and had a GM who believed that Karlsson was the answer, I’d be as bitter as you appear too.

no one here is angry or bitter.
You seem to keep trolling on though with worthless opinions.
Like DeBrusk, who is a rental, would have any value for the penguins who are clearly not a playoff team...... Oh they could flip him..... how about at trade deadline no one wants to flip a player in like 5 or 6 days...... if BOS wants to move him for assets and then add those assets that's one thing. But don't come to me with these worthless flip ideas.

Your opinions are just bad. Period.
