You cannot buy out Lupul. No injured players may be bought out. Remember the Cowen buyout? This one definitely doesn't fly.

Besides no one applied for salary arbitration so the Leafs cannot buyout anyone.

You are absolutely correct Steven, however, if he was to pass a physical or agree to the buyout this could take place. I myself would like to see a trade but don't think it could happen. guess we will probably be waiting one more season before dumping the contract.
