Giving the Leafs Some Options

Created by: HockeySen
Team: 2017-18 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 12, 2017
Published: Jul. 12, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trying to free some cap while staying competitive. Pretty much selling draft picks to for other teams to take dead cap space. I'm not a huge follower of the Leafs so the lines might be a bit screwed up.

This has to be a troll roster. What would you think the leafs would give Enroth a 2nd chance and give him a raise. Also no one is taking the Horton contrqct

I don't think Wideman would be a good fit in the eyes of Leafs management in terms of character. And there's no real hurry to get rid of LTIR as they don't take much cap space in any case.

Leafs need to fit under the cap with Lupul and Horton on the active roster on the day after training camp ends, before putting them on LTIR.
Odds are strong there is outgoing salary before then, and a top 4 RHD is not acquired until after the squeeze has passed.

this preaching about how injured players affect the cap hit of leafs reminds of me donald trump,,,,it's fake news. players on ltir can be placed on it anytime. armchairGM has some holes in programming and exactly how the cap is worked and as explained by banks of cap friendly they are working to correct it.
