I just love this.

Remember Matheson use to be the guy who was a HUGE capdump and it would cost a team more than a 1st to move him.

Now in his worst year since 18-19 he's a "Top 4 D in his prime"

He's also bleeding goals again.
He had a much better year last year, even though he was limited on the ice.

1st Wallman and Seider make a great team so he would not be a #1 on Wings team. 2nd he is 29 and we trade a 19y0 and a good defender who is cheaper for older more expensive player, no.
3rd Wings have a good defense when it comes offensive numbers and are getting better defensively. Why would they trade for more offense and sacrifice defense?
