While it's true that Gaudet has climbed a good bit since being drafted, he's still easily behind Koromyslov and Buchinger in the Blues D prospect hierarchy. He's probably also a lesser prospect than Kaskimaki, another '22 draftee.

Very similar to mine. The only thing I did was I had Cooley and Nemec swapped. But that is just me.

For someone who see two games of Huston in person, put him directly on the Top-pair club !

I never see a player dominating in the offensive zone and having 75% the possesion of the puck in the offensive zone like what he does. Even when you think that he will gonna lose the puck, he will always gonna find the way to shoot the puck to the net or skip the player without given it the puck. Also, when you think that he will gonna get crushed on the board by a bigger player than him, he found the way to create somes space and makes the good pass to his teamates and also avoid the hit. I can also guarantee that he is right now WAY better than Celebrini, even that Celebrini is a great player.

But maybe is biggest default is that he is very small for a defenseman, but I never seen a player having so much talents like that.

The puck skills are elite. The skating and size combo limits the potential. You can be 6’5” with average skating/speed. Or you can be 5’10” with elite skating/speed. But it’s hard to be 5’10” without elite skating.

(I hope I’m wrong…love him as player)

Is skating is very elite but he haves somes small defaults on it, that's what I see on him.

But before seeing him in person, I was thinking that he will likely been worst that what I see in reality, but when you see the player in person, you saw someone with a high-elite - franchise offensive defenseman. Somes peoples also said to me that they never seen a defenseman dominating in the NCAA like him since............................ Cale Makar..........................

I have seen Habs fans saying Hutson is the next Makar a lot lately. I don’t see it since they play very different styles. Hutson has been great, but look at the dmen who QB’ed that PP before him (Fensore, Farrance, etc). Also, Hockey East is *very* top heavy league right now….In 2019, there was a little more parity.

Hutson is unique though…there aren’t many who do what he does. Will be interesting if he signs in April.

Exactly, but my point is from someone who isn't a BU or a Habs fan and who follow the NCAA a lot.

I'm not comparing him to Makar, but my point is Hutson have a unique talent that should be talk more and more and that somes peoples doesn't able to really see.

It’s hard to find a comp of Hutson. There have been plenty of good smaller offensive dmen, but all a little different.

Perunovich had a little of that puck skill magic. Could hang onto it a little longer than everyone else. Makar and Fox had more complete games in college. Fox certainly had the passing vision that Hutson has. Quinn Hughes had the elite skating ability. Torrey Krug was transition specialist, less on puck skills. Will Butcher had the benefit of an elite power play unit. Jon-Michael Liles was a slippery one.

Looking at other BU dmen….Dom Fensore had a little bit of a similar skill set…just not as good as Hutson’s. The fact that he is now in ECHL probably doesn’t help make the case. David Farrance probably did it more via the rush…and less via the pass. But hasn’t found his way in Nashville system.

Nick Blakenberg isn’t a bad comparison. Similar offerings. Zach Metsa another undersized dman, but probably more similar to Spurgeon.

Martin St Louis is another comp, in a way. Different position, different era. But Vermont had the top line in NCAA for years (MSL, Perrin)…and few believed they would translate to next level (one did, one didn’t). But the skill was elite.

Hutson is a puzzle. Hope we get to see him out there soon.

Everybody is a puzzle to translate his play between the NCAA to the NHL, i'm totally agree with that.

But one point that can I had for why Hutson as a lot of chance to becoming a high-elite offensive defenseman in the NHL, it's because he already have somes experience in somes internnationals tournaments who looked very impressive for all of them (two WJC and one WHC).
