William Nylander is not going to sign a long term contract at 5 mil per season. Also the leafs have zero need for Tavares.

It's a good illustration that this scenario is highly unlikely now; this roster is still short of one player, and Nylander will likely get 6-7M AAV (I hope that they sign him early this year). Not sure that Leivo will play enough this year to warrant such an increase, but who knows.

Did you just witness folks getting overpaid this past weekend. Nylander is not going to sign for 5 mil.....ever.....especially if the Leafs are dealing out $80 mil for Tavares. Oh yes, that is what the Leafs need with Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Kadri, another center? And aside from that, how do propose to pay for Matthews and Marner's deals when they come due the next year.

I will assume this was a joke to just get us all riled up!
