I know we are still a long ways away from the draft, but I can't help myself haha. I really want to see the Leafs finally add a high end defensive prospect, and I think this year is finally the year. There will be a ton of great defensemen available, and here are a few of my favorites (regardless of availability)

Aaron Kiviharju
- Probably a pipe dream, could fall due to injury and missing the WJC
- So so so smart
- Excellent passer
- My favourite defenseman in this draft by a mile

Zeev Buium
- Another guy unlikely to be at the Leafs pick, but would he such an incredible addition
- Mobility is unbelievable. Will be terrifying in transition at the NHL level. So deceptive
- Will be a steal if he's picked outside of the top 10

Anthony Cristoforo
- Such an intelligent defenseman
- Solid at both ends of the ice
- Good jack of all trades defenseman. Skating could use some work
- Will likely be available at the Leafs pick (#32 🤞)

Carter Yakemchuk
- Offensively gifted and aggressive defenseman
- Seems like the player the Leafs expected Klingberg to be (not a bad thing)

Some of the forwards I like are:
- Tij Iginla
- Michael Branstegg Nygard
- Konsta Helenius (Will be long gone before the leafs pick barring a major miracle)
- Liam Greentree
- Terik Parascak

This year's draft class deserves more hype and I really hope we keep our first
