and this is exactly why the NHL is pathetic. Every GM in the league should have sent an offer sheet to this guy if that's the deal he was getting.

WEll he has to want to sign one, be eligible also if he files for arbitration he can't get an offer sheet then wink. Maybe he liked being where he was so felt that was a fair amt of money to take to stay...
