For sure. I like the fact that it goes for 4 years, this means we won't be resigning him when Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are being resigned.

For sure. I like the fact that it goes for 4 years, this means we won't be resigning him when Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are being resigned.


The term is the best part and even if he doesn't develop further and eventually drops to the 4th line along with killing penalties the money is less than Martin. He is still the lowest paid lw in the lineup...

I'm a little surprised at the length, but I don't think it's a bad deal. Hyman is a decent player that can get pucks off the boards for his linemates (Matthews, Nylander), assuming he stays with those two. Can probably put up 30-35 points playing with them and be an unsung hero of the line. Similar to Ferland's role on the Monahan/Gaudreau line.
