If the Canucks could afford Nylanders likely extension they'd do this but unfortunately we cant

As a pure rental. This is fine.
If an extension was in place when the trade happens, this is bad for Toronto.

But we don't have the money to sign 2 players @ 10-11m~

i dont think the leafs will trade willy away but as a rental, the canucks might want to have him for a playoff run. i think they are capable of bigger things this year.
