We all love to hate him.

For the boo birds, he is a thankless human being with a thankless job.

Always seeming to favour some teams at the expense of others.

Always bending the rules and needlessly tinkering our beloved sport.

After 30 Years of being in charge of the NHL.

But what if he wasn't the NHL commissioner anymore ?

Who should replace him ?

Let me know your thoughts.

TBH, every 5 years, the NHL commissioner should be available for hire, like a president, and they should take the most qualified person should be offered the position of NHL commissioner who's applied, whomever that is IMO...

IDK the tests and stuff to test the potential commissioners, but that my opinion

Commissioner represents the owners…so it’s unlikely to be former player (or player agent).

Will probably be Daly

Charlie Baker could be dark horse.

Not really a good idea. You need someone with a long term vision and enough time to execute it. They also need enough job security and power to hold their position against powerful entities. You can't have someone that is forced to focus on pleasing people in order to keep their job.
Stability in management is also a big consideration for negotiations with investors, advertisers, owners, players, etc.

Unfortunately, I think it's Daly who will succeed him.

My guess is Daly with a woman taking his place.
