Definitely worth a first there’s maybe 10 goalies in the nhl that are worth a 1st and hart is still one of them

The only thing of real value there is the 1st. The 2nds are nice too but they'll want more for Hart than a 2nd and 4th.

Edit: While thinking about it I doubt the Flyers want another Fedotov after what happened with the first one.

Slight overpay but I would make that Hanifin trade if I was in the GM seat.

The Philly trade has merit. The goaltending is very solid with Ingram and Vejmelka, not sure that Hart would be a target for AZ but he is a hell of a tendie. Konecny would be a fantastic add for AZ.

Hard pass on Kane and Garland, neither would add much. Garland is not better than any of the current top nine on AZ and Kane would not be able to keep pace with either of the top 2 lines in AZ.

Hard pass on Carrier as well. McBain is damn near a perfect 4th line center and should not be a scratch, especially for Carrier.

Side note: Schmaltz is not an NHL caliber center, he is strictly a RW and has been for the last 4 years.

The return isn't likely to be anything. Especially with no cap coming back and no retention. The goal at that point is simply to get the future cap commitments off the books and reallocate that money. This does that perfectly. You can aim for more but this is absolutely acceptable and good for the Canucks.
