I don't like the Pinto trade, but get the concept that they might eventually have to trade him.

I absolutely don't understand the Eric Brannstrom for Chris Tanev trade though. A 2nd & 3rd for a more expensive player to play on the 3rd pair? And one could definitely argue that the trade makes the team worse as well.

Or were you deliberate in wanting to play Chychrun 3rd pair minutes? That kind of subtraction by addition has ruined many good teams.

Like Tampa? Who ran three deep D pairs with an elite LD on each one? Seemed to work poorly for them, right?

Or how adding Orlov hurt the Bruins.

I still don't get it. Brannstrom plays the right just fine if you want to play that game.

if they have to trade pinto (which would hurt) id assume want to get him to the west far away, 6 west teams have 2m cap space - AZ and CHI have best picks options

Ott doesn't even consider moving Pinto unless an unprotected first is included.

that's weird you would say that because most sens fans would rather let pinto rot than move a second round pick to dump joseph and sign him

Well there is a lot that would not. I was open to moving a second with Joseph in the off-season, but he has proved himself too valuable in camp and at the start of the season, move Kubalick, or Smejiki who still has't played a game.

Get Chartier out of lineup and call up JArvinte.

You don't have to like it, no chance Ottawa considers this a few months after they wouldn't want to give Pinto back for Chychrun and chose to give a 12th OA pick instead

I don't dislike the Brannstrom trade but in a perfect world, I would give Kubalik + 2nd + 3rd to make that trade

Sanderson - Chychrun
Chabot - Tanev
Brannstrom - Zub

Not sure why the Flames would want to move Tanev though

His name is Smejkal and he doesn't have to be moved, he's in the AHL right now taking 0$ in cap space. He's also waivers exempt, zero reason to move him.

Also, Chartier is good defensively and on the PK, Jarventie will be best served by developing in the AHL another season rather than be buried in Sens depth, he just turned 21 years old.

No, Sens fans don't want to trade Joseph at all and want to trade Kubalik instead.

I explained it to you before... It took some time for some Sens fans and they needed to see some games to understand but now pretty much everyone is on board.
