just want to rant a little bit how besides the leafs, the devils are a team i really like to cheer for

-a young team that has a long window to contend...while also being a current contender at the same time
-unlike toronto's cap situation (that infuriates me ngl), the cap hits of hughes, hischer, bratt and even meier is very helpful for the devils to get a top forward depth core AND even improve on their D and goaltending
-hughes and hischer basically has been my ideal 1-2 center punch where hughes provides a lot of the flashy offense and hischer being a two-way selke defensive stud

so if the leafs disappoint me again (as a lifelong fan, they will), i will definitely jump on the NJ bandwagon early LOL

honestly, im just really jealous of how well managed your team is. as much as i will die for the leafs, they are simply are not as well constructed as the devils are and the only reason why we are able to contend is because we have like two superstars to carry us all the time LOL

I'll agree with you about the good young players the Devils. But their cap isn't THAT much better. Close to the cap with bonuses. Hughes, Bratt and Hirschier certainly have team friendly contracts.
Palat and Meirer maybe not so much going forward.

They have great top-end talent in all positions (except goaltending) and a ton of organizational depth. This team goes out and nabs Helle or Saros and they should be a lock for Cup final imo

Interesting. Some questions:

1. Where will NJ finish in the ranking?

2. What will most likely be the PP?

3. Who is likely to have a breakout year or who will surprise in terms of point production? Who is advantaged by the line combinations?

4. Who is likely to have a bad year in point production?

5. How many games each goalie is likely to play?
