Mcavoy signed long term through his prime on a deal that is a steal now and will be even more in a few season when cap is up, where as drai is coming up on a 12+ mill

Objectively, the value here is actually pretty even. But there is zero chance either team is giving up those players lol. Don't blame both sides for being pissed at this.

Boston says no rather quickly.

Ottawa says no.

One can argue who's better, Chabot or Nurse. Nurse has been healthier, where as Chabot puts up similar points in fewer games. Ottawa is hoping that since they have a good top 4, that Chabot will be healthier and more productive now that they don't need to ride him 30+ mins a night. Personally, I don't think Chabot is untouchable.

The main issue, as I see it, is the contracts. Nurse costs more, has more term, and he's older. Sens have no cap space as is, and will need to sign Sanderson. That Nurse contract willjust be an albatross, and cost picks to make go away. At least Chabot is younger, has shorter term during his prime years. Makes no sense to bring in a 9.5x7 D if he's not going to be your top guy (Sanderson is), and screw up your cap space.

Whatever difference in value there is between McAvoy and Draisaitl it certainly isn't Debrusk and a 1st round pick.

Whatever 3rd or 2nd best player at 8.5M is an absolute steal and all ur losing is Debrusk mcavoy and 1st would definitely have to add pastrnak for the oilers to even consider it.

•Debrusk is a good top 6 winger who probably scores 40+ with McDavid
•There’s no guarantee Boston will be good in 24/25, so that could be a lottery 1st
•You are also dumping Ceci

I agree with most of this, but Ceci isn't a "dump" by any definition. He's a value contract. He's worth at least a mid-2nd.
