Buffalo hasn't been in the playoffs for over a decade.
With the changes they made in the offseason, I bet they could reach the postseason in 2023-2024.

The issue is your wording

It’s not the Sabres “one last chance”
If they don’t make the playoffs this year, they’ll be in the running next year- AND the year after- AND the year after that,
and so on

They’ll have MANY CHANCES, not “one last chance”
