This would be the ABSOLUTE most we could offer and it's honestly a lot, like maybe too much?

But if Lindholm does a 7 yr extension as part of the deal at around 8.5M(horvats contract basically) then there could be interest. The problem is we really don't need to trade for him and giving up assets for a soon to be ufa doesn't make sense for Columbus either.

Yeah, I’m not even sure about giving up that much for a soon to be UFA. It would only make sense for an eight-year extension to spread out the hit and bring the AAV down. But I don’t see Calgary with the leverage to get those kind of assets. Would be more inclined to part with slightly lower drafted players (i.e. Peeke and Chinakov) and 2nd (‘25) and 3rd (‘24 or ‘26) picks or at least push the first round pick out to ‘25 when the team is expected to gel and blossom.

Not against trading from our quantity for quality, but it doesn’t need to be a desperate move. Only make the move if there’s value, both on the ice and in contract term and AAV.
