would have been a great offer last summer, or if JVR had another year or 2 left on his contract. Similar value to the Stepan trade. Too bad JVR would just walk next summer

As a leaf fan I would be extremely happy if that deal were to happen also as a a leaf fan I must say that it is incredibly unlikely that Arizona would ever say yes to that offer. Dvorak looks like he'll slot in comfortably as at worst a 3rd line C and well that 1st coming from Arizona is highly likely to be a lottery pick and that's real hard piece to pry from teams.

Alzner is not going to sign for 2.9 million. He is going to get 4-5 million per aeason
