Please explain why Minnesota needs Timmons. They just let Dumba walk because they can't afford him and have a stud rookie defenseman who is NHL ready and will supplant Dumba in our top 4 in Brock Faber. We also still have Addison as well on top of that.

Minnesota's top 6 is already more or less set, plus have Merrill as our 7th defenseman. It's full up.

Meanwhile, Duhaime was the final forward spot that needed locking up. He came in at a reasonable price point and is more or less a younger version of Foligno. And Foligno is getting old.

So no. It's not something we would do or want. We don't have need of the defenseman and do have need for the gritty bottom-six grinder. That bottom-six 4th line of Duhaime - Dewar - Maroon is going to be pure hell to play against.

Both teams need those players more than they need the other. It’d be unnecessary and they also both just resigned
