I agree if they are looking to compete for a playoff spot. I’m really hoping they throw tarasenko a contract that no one else can beat. Evangelista will be in our top 9, parssinen will too

$4.5mil for Tatar is way too much. I'd rather keep a spot open for a younger guy than pay that... I also don't think he fills the culture that Trotz is trying to build either.

Novak as well. He was great offensively for us. If we want to play others, then flipping him for a 2nd would be the ideal route.

I’d be happy to sign Tatar to a 1-year deal, though this may be a bit high.

Having said that, these lines are all over the place… with Tatar (or other FA/trade), I’d go:

Forsberg - O’Reilly - Tomasino
Tatar - Novak - Evangelista
Nyquist - Glass - Parssinen
Trenin - Sissons - Sherwood

All in all, this team won’t be total pushovers, but they’re not making the playoffs either.

Their only solid forward is Forsberg and other than that they have an amazing D-core as always but they need to trade 1 for a better forward

I think if we stayed healthy we could very well push for a playoff spot. I think our defense got better to help saros out and our forwards are better kinda. Tarasenko would be the guy I’d go for though. He’s a bigger body that can’t score from anywhere.

Forsberg glass Evangelista
Tomasino O’Reilly Tarasenko
Nyquist parssinen Novak
Trenin sissons Sherwood
