Description

STL is not signing Yak meaning he's a UFA. Report last year was Caps were trying to get Yak so now they have a chance. He would come on a 1 year cheap deal to prove himself. Him and Kuzey shredded tournaments when paired with each other so put them back together to see if they can repeat the same results.

That 2nd line would be pretty bad defensively but worth the trade off on the offense they can bring.

For the COL trade, all they have to do is take a bottom pairing dman for 2 years at $3.5M while they are rebuilding in order to get a young, very good goaltender that can be there for 5+ years. Worth it.

Also Caps need to get him because if they don't PIT will and they'll turn him into a 25+ goal scorer.

Very nice! I had the same thought about Yakupov to the Caps. I am just not sure Brooks Orpik will get traded. I do think Grubauer will get dealt though.

I would imagine Kuznetsov fetches closer to 7m, Burakovsky gets closer to 3.5/4 and can't see COL taking on Orpik. I think Yak is such a good move to sign though, for 1million if he doesn't work bury him and you have almost nothing on the books, if he works and scores 50 points that's great value

Kuzey won't get close $7M I think, I think he'll get $6M tops. Bura can get that money if it's a long term deal but I think they will do a bridge deal with him first. Yeah I don't think anyone takes on Orpik but I'm hoping haha
