Nylander doesn't make sense for the Hawks. Even if the Hawks signed Nylander to an 8 year extension, he'll be at least halfway through that deal before the Hawks are a legit contender again. The assets it will cost to get him just slow the progress of the rebuild. Nylander is one great player. He isn't pushing the rebuild forward on his own. Acquiring Nylander is a waste of dollars and valuable draft capital.
