I like the trade, not crazy about how you structured your lines and I don`t know why you put Giordano on LTIR when he is definitely going to play.

I have been very intrigued by the idea of playing Tavares with Marner/Matthews. I think they would balance each other really well. If you can find somebody who will play well with Nylander you're going to get a clear #1 line, a solid #2 line and probably a middling third line. Kind of the Boston model when they had Bergeron-Rat Boy- Pasta all together.

You very much can. It's certainly not ideal but they also can't afford to attach high draft picks to move him. If they have some idea on what Matthews/Nylander extensions cost it's not a huge deal. I could see them retaining a bit on Murray to move him, but with the cap going up it isn't going to cripple them. (The Leafs are actually in a great spot with the cap right now, but ssshhhh don't tell people).

Or you move him because it won't cost much to do so. Jarry is the best FA goalie and he's an often injured inconsistent goalie that will cost way more in cap and term than Murray. And may not even be better.

I can see why you`d want to try it but, I would think the Leafs would want to give Knies, two of the ``Big4`` as his linemates to help him and not put too much pressure on him to be an immediate offensive producer
