So Arizona drafts Moser as an overager with a second round pick. The team watches him become a solid two-way defenseman, trades away a bunch of defensemen at the deadline, then trades Moser for a third round pick in the off-season?

Why would we trade our best defencman for a 3rd round pick while simultaneously failing to replace anything he brought to our team?

He’s not our best dman. He’s decent but in order for us to do anything this off season either Brodie or Nylander is gone. Who would you rather part ways with?

He is our best defender. And we literally don’t have to trade either of them in order to make a move. We have 14 million in cap, and that’s before dumping the Murray contract. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Nobody needs to pay 2 firsts for him. They need to pay a first and something useful that isn’t hurt all of the time. 25 and 40 something which is what Blues offered is way better than 28 and a guy that can’t stay on the ice

Sorry, I made my decision. You’ll have to wait until we play against him to see your fav dman again.

No one knows for certain what was offered by the blues. Dead cap could have been offered along with the 1st and 2nd. Otherwise they are silly not to take it

Can someone explain to me why teams are actually willing to give up a first round pick (and more) for a player that’s 30 years old, has never scored more than 18 goals and has only surpassed the 40 point mark ONCE in his entire career?

Like, is it really because he’s good at cracking jokes or something? Lol.
