Tampa Bay says sure , however Buffalo saves cap space sending him to Rochester and doesn't use a retention spot. So doing that would probably be better for them.

Is TBs 7 worth a retention spot you can easily get a 4or 5 for at the TDL?

Tanev one doesn't make much sense. Looks like a cap dump with the Sabres getting the higher picks. He's not that.

What is he worth?; Buff sends the Philly 2nd so CGY would move up 9 spots to an early 2nd this year

Depends on if there's a guy there in Rd seven Buff thinks is higher quality I guess. Aren't there 3 retention spots? Doubt Buff uses 3 or more anyway, even before the TDL.

You have to remember if Caps put him on the trade block 15-20 teams would be bidding for him so the cost would be more than you'd want to give. Something like 2023 1st+top prospect. I know he isn't worth that but will cost that.
