I like the Brenden Dillon trade... Gives the Hurricanes some bite on the back end

The LA deal is a good start, but obviously LA needs to add and shed some salary.

The firsts are nice, but Broberg and Foegele don't give the Jets anything they need, so Winnipeg passes.

Puljujarvi is likely going back to Europe, so Winnipeg says no.

Hart isn't worth 2 firsts and a close to ready NHL defenseman.

I think that's possible. I just don't knowhow much of an appetite the Jets will have to move Dillon. If the move PLD, Wheeler and Hellebuyck and maybe Scheifele, I'm not sure how much more they will do.

I personally think they are going to attempt a full scale rebuild and that means getting rid of everybody of value including Dillon

I think myself and most Jet fans hope you are right and they do hit the rebuild hard, but from Chevy's last presser he said they weren't doing that, just a reset. But that was before the Helle news, so maybe now they see the writing on the wall.

No way trades that. LA can't afford that much cap this season. I highly doubt they trade Byfield at all. With PLD forcing Winnipegs hand by not wanting to resign, I don't think they get much of anything for him. Definitely less than what they gave up.
