Don’t think these goalies fix our issues. Rather keep Jarry/DeSmith at that rate. Switch Barbashev and Steel. Can’t be using Rust and Rakell on 3rd line.

We just need a change of scenery in goal. Cannot bring back same tandem and Jarry reportedly wants 6 years. Wouldn't give him over 2. Rust and Rakell would be fine on 3rd line. Rakell it just speaks to how good he is. He can go to any line and elevate it. We need help on 3rd line. And I think Rust is more suited for 3rd line at this point, but let's see if he bounces back. Solid in top 6 last year, but just think this is a good way to shake up both top and bottom 6.

?? Was Rutta that bad he looks like a good d-man with a small contract way better then Gustafsson in a bottom 4 role. Ottawa probably give DeSmith a Shot when it's free. Best bet New York matches and addresses the money later

He just isn't really what we need on D and we can replace him with someone who has similar production for a league min. Gustafson I like, is a good puck mover and would produce more offense. Just has more to do with our current needs as opposed to one being better than the other.

Man Gustafsson is such a defensive liability when he plays his offensive game be carful asking your bottom pair guy to be your offensive stalwart

Rutta wasn't really all that bad last season and I personally think he has value, but I'm apparently in the minority there. I think it comes from the fact that he was a luxury Hextall got us when we really couldn't afford it. It's not that the player has no value, but that the move is almost entirely just another team would be helpng the Pens get cap space.

Hanafin will fetch NHL level assets I think plus a pick or something like that… I don’t think CGY would trade him without getting something back to help them now
Also I would not give Barbashev 5M

Three picks to move Rutta isn’t serious though? OP must be satire.
