Meier isn’t worth a 1st line center and a top pairing dman, even with the expiring contracts. NJ would need to add a healthy amount to get CGY interested. Otherwise Conroy can get a great haul of assets for the two players in individual trades.

8 years of Meier isn’t worth two rentals? Not sure if Conroy goes into full rebuild (where it wouldn’t make sense) or tries to compete (it may make sense). As the title implies, it’s like the reverse if what his predecessor did.
