Description
What's the price on each player, individually? Dallas needs to upgrade the right side of their blue line and it seems like LA is one of the only teams with a surplus of RD.

Roy isn't really on the market, even if he WOULD be the best conceivable partner for Miro. We expect to re-up him next summer, and he's potential future captain material for us.

Durzi is a late first (which you traded away), an early second (which you don't have), or a high-quality LhD prospect (which Harley doesn't seem to be turning out to be, although you could educate me).

Sean Walker, on the other hand, is your 2023 fourth. (I know, I know, some of my Los Angeles colleagues will want a third or even a second for him, but I'm trying to be honest, or at least a realist.) We might accept the 2024 third instead.

Yeah I figured that Roy would be a pretty huge ask, but curiosity killed the cat so I figured I'd go ahead and ask.

Harley has actually been phenomenal since getting called up this year. Easily Dallas' 2nd best defenseman this postseason. He's becoming the top-4 player that Dallas drafted him to be. In reality, if Dallas doesn't upgrade the right side of their blue line then Harley is likely the 1LD to Miro's 1RD next season. If LD is something that LA is after, would there be any kind of interest in someone a little older like Lindell (assuming he'd waive the NMC)? Not as young as Harley, but he's a big body, good shutdown defenseman, and comes with plenty of top-4 experience. Not exactly what a trade would look like regarding Lindell, but I'd be curious to see if LA would have interest in him.

Walker I figured was the easiest acquisition of the group. Ideally, Dallas would love to find a good top-4 RD option, but given how bad Miller and Hakanpaa have been this year, Walker would be a welcome depth RD option.

Appreciate the feedback

Just out of curiosity, what about Helge Grans? How does he fit into the Kings lineup between their current crop of RD and Brandt Clarke likely making the team next season?

Thanks for the insight. From what you say, Durzi would certainly be available for Harley, in some formulation. You should also ruminate on Jordan Spence, depending upon how far into the future you want to look. I think that Spence is NHL-ready now, but that just means that his 200-game apprenticeship is beginning in 2023-2024. With Brandt Clarke on the way, both Durzi and Spence are surplus to our needs. I fully expect one of them to be traded this summer; both are on the market now, as is Walker.

Honestly forgot about Spence. Certainly one I'd kick the tires on as well, for the right price

I think that we'll postpone any decision on Grans because he's further back in the pipeline, and a lot depends upon what happens with Matt Roy (whom he would replace in certain circumstances). If Roy is re-signed next summer, then Grans is on the market. If, on the other hand, Roy is traded for someone like, oh, I don't know, just picking a name at random, Thomas Harley, then we'll need Grans and Spence for the bottom right-hand side as nos. 6 and 7. But that's looking far into the crystal ball.

Roy Is going to be just a massive overpay as LA is not keen on moving him.
Durzi is almost certainly not going anywhere unless he is apart of a larger package to attain LA’s off-season goals. That being said I’ll say most likely a second, and solid prospect gets them to move him.
Walker is the most likely to be moved he can probably be had for a 3rd unless there becomes a bidding war. I truly think he is a very smart and capable second RHD on a roster and you just have to love his work ethic and story coming in as an unstaffed AHL signing to this. Truly remarkable.
