Description
The Caps are at a crossroads. After years of competing throughout the Ovechkin era, the time has finally come to pay the piper. Though the Gr8 Eight still wants to compete, for the sake of the team it is time to rebuild. Trade what you can to stockpile picks, and pick up young and promising pieces that are either out of favor with their original teams or just buried in the depth chart and not allowed to grow. The Capitals need to move toward the future, not simply look into the past.

    Kings top nine is already set. No use for Kuznetsov.

    If you feel like you want to trade Sandin, the Kings might be interested though.

    Los Angeles doesn't need another center and any non-LhD or starting goalie transaction has to be cap-neutral. But we'll offer that package for Fehervary or Sandin.
